The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”

This update on his health arrives after the boxing community offered condolences for the fighter in the following the terrible crash.
